Ivor Novello was a British actor and songwriter born in London in 1917. He is best known for the songs "I Won't Dance", "Moonlight Bay", "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing", "Singing the Blues" and "Keep the Home Fires Burning", although he also had a long career as an actor, appearing in over 100 films between 1933 and 1967. His first film appearance was as the voice of Peter Rabbit in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). He died of cancer on June 29, 1959 at the age of 48.
